Cleo Loque on Entrepreneurship at a Young Age

What do you do for a living, and what are the things that make you feel more alive?

I am a sophomore student in Enderun Colleges taking up BS Entrepreneurship, the founder of Hiraya Pilipina and Hiraya Studios and a content creator. Some of the things that make me feel more alive are: yoga, reading books, hosting my podcast, and growing my businesses.

How old are you?

18

I am most known for..

I am most known for founding Hiraya Pilipina at a young age.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of paying for my own tuition and being able to bring my family on vacations.

What do you think is the biggest challenge, and the best thing, about being your age?

I think one of the biggest challenges of being accomplished at such a young age is the pressure to keep up with it. I already have to deal with the responsibilities of an adult, especially that I have a beautiful, growing team that I am leading.

On the other hand, I also think that I have an unfair advantage. I can freely jump and take risks because I have nothing to lose.

How have you grown wiser in the past two years?

I have definitely grown more emotionally wiser in the past two years, as one of my main duties as a leader is in dealing and connecting with people. I have learned to be more empathetic, compassionate, and understanding. I try to lead with grace knowing that my team members are not machines, but are actual people with dreams and ambitions.

What are the best pieces of life advice you have ever received?

Fast execution is everything.

If it weren't for my Dad who motivates me to execute my plans immediately, I might have just sunk into overthinking and Hiraya will not be brought to life.

Who are the women you look up to and how have they helped shape your life?

I look up to female entrepreneurs as they continue to prove what's possible for women, such as Mrs. Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, Mrs. Nina Ellaine Dizon-Cabrera, Mrs. Rizza Lana-Sebastian, and even my own Mom, Sabrina C. Loque. :)

She Talks Generations celebrates wisdom-sharing among women, and highlights the different perspectives and unique strengths that we bring to the table at every life stage.
